Lemon Water privacy policy
Effective November 3, 2026
Lemon Water is a reminder app that dings you through the day to drink water. This policy explains what the app does with information. In short: it collects nothing, and nothing leaves your phone.
What the app stores
The app keeps a few things on your device: how often you want dings and between which hours, how many sips you logged today, and the time of your last sip, so it can count one sip per ding. This is stored only in the app's private storage on your phone. It is never sent to us or anyone else, and it is deleted when you uninstall the app.
What the app does not do
Lemon Water has no accounts, no sign-in, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. It does not collect your name, email, location, contacts, photos, health records or device identifiers. It does not share or sell any data, because it has none to share.
Notifications and permissions
Reminders are scheduled on your phone as local notifications. No server sends them. The app asks for these permissions:
- Notifications, to show your dings.
- Alarms & reminders (Android), so dings arrive on time instead of up to an hour late.
- Run at startup (Android), so dings resume after your phone restarts.
- Vibration, for the ding and the sip button.
You can turn any of these off in your phone's settings at any time.
Purchases
Lemon Water is bought through Google Play. Google handles the payment, and we never see your card or payment details. Google's own privacy policy covers that purchase.
Health information
The app offers general wellness information about hydration and lemons. It is not medical advice and does not diagnose or treat any condition. Talk to your doctor about what is right for you.
Children
Lemon Water is not directed at children under 13 and collects no information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
